Once upon a time (a couple of months ago) when I was blogging on Gypsy Mind, I had the pleasure of interviewing Danielle Spurge of The Merriweather Council. I admire Danielle and her embroidery business for a number of reasons:

Personalized Embroidered Initial PENDANT - NO CHAIN. Lots of Color Options. by merriweathercouncil on Etsy.

1- She has her own style and she stays true to it. Her embroidery is modern, centered on the use of words and initials, and it’s colorful.

2- She’s unique. Danielle popularized the initial necklace (which she brilliantly markets as bridesmaid gifts), and she invented her own stitch—the wishbone stitch.

3- She’s visible. Danielle blogs and is active on Facebook and Twitter.

Plus, Danielle is a talented stitcher. Check out her work at her etsy shop. And, if you want to read my interview with her, it’s still live on Gypsy Mind.
